I found this article (w/photos) to be quite interesting, definitely yummy, and a little unnerving when you compare what students in the U.S. eat versus students in the 8 other countries featured. No wonder the U.S. has a problem with obesity and other underlying health issues.
On this blog, I always try to keep it lighthearted and fun, but I felt like this article would be a great read since it compares the quality and nutrition of food from various countries.
Check it out below:
Danny from LA: School Lunches from 10 Different Countries (It’s actually 9 countries, not 10 – typo maybe?!) ^^
I rarely ate school lunches when I was growing up, but if I had, the lunches from Italy, Finland, France, Brazil, South Korea, Greece, Ukraine, and Spain look much more appetizing than the U.S. lunch. They are also much more filling and nutritious…which always goes a long way toward better concentration, performance, etc. in school.
What do you think?
Just out of curiosity, which lunch looks most appetizing to you?! 😉
