100 followers blog

Wow. Just wow!

I haven’t been super active lately due to a project I’m currently working on (which takes up quite of bit of my time right now~), so I apologize for that, but I do try to share things that catch my eye or that I am interested in so you know that I haven’t lost interest in you guys or my (healthy) Hallyu addiction~! πŸ˜‰

I saw this today, and felt totally happy! I have heard some people say that the numbers don’t matter, and they really don’t ALL that much, but it sure is nice to see that my blog is appealing to at least 100 people! πŸ˜‰

I’m seriously so tickled that I think I should do something to celebrate!

But hrmm…what should I do?! πŸ˜‰

Wanna help me decide?

Leave your comments below with ideas!

Then we’ll see what happens from there… πŸ˜›

Thanks to all my followers, and just to anyone and everyone that takes a moment to read my blog. You guys are my rock stars!

Reflection & Thanks

dsksolutions

This post serves as a reflection of my ‘first year’ of blogging and as a ‘thank you’ as we dive into a brand new year.

A brief reflection~

agirlwhoisageek

Reflecting back on 2014 is a journey in and of itself, but I wanted to express my gratitude for all the love and support I’ve received since starting my blog this past Summer.

I wasn’t sure what to expect, or how things would go, but gave it a try because I felt compelled to share my love for hallyu with anyone who would listen. (You can visit Home orΒ About…Me! for more info!)

Since August, if you can imagine, I’ve learned more about my “likes” than I ever thought I would. I’ve also realized that while I completely enjoy blogging about some things, I find it a chore to blog about others.

I won’t bore you with the details, but I will say that the past few months have been enlightning, memorable, and most definitely fun. πŸ˜‰

Many thanks~

nomensaI’ve been told that blogging is not a numbers game; that the number of followers a blogger has, doesn’t necessarily determine how successful a blog is. That’s reassuring, especially when you’re just starting out; however, I began to believe it even as my numbers slowly started to grow. Odd, right?

Even though I was happy that the number of followers I had was increasing, I was more excited about the number of unique views I was getting on a daily basis. I believe that both followers and non-followers equally make a blog successful, so I’m grateful for every visitor!

When I received my WordPress annual report, I was surprised to see that my blog has actually reached people in over 100 countries…I mean, wow! The internet is crazy awesome, right?!

So, here’s to every single person who has ever viewed my blog! *Cheers* πŸ˜‰

I’d also like to take a moment to send a shout-out to the newest followers of Jeni K-Cinema:

I thank you all for clicking that follow button, and I hope you often find posts that intrigue, inspire, educate, or entertain you!

Every visitor, follower or not, you inspire me to keep going, so thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Here’s to 2015 and everything it has to offer – may it be the best year yet!

My Fav. K-Celebs Vol. 1

Annyeong~!

Here’s a brief intro to my posting series of K-Celebs~

In this series of posts, I’ll be sharing my Top 10 Fav K-Celebs with you! I’ll publish one volume – which will feature one actor and one actress – every other day or so over the next few weeks, for a total of ten posts. I’m very excited to share this with you, so here we go! ^^

#10-A: Yoon Jin Seo

yoon-jin-seo

Born: 5 August 1983
Sign: Leo

What you may know her from:

Movies:
Shoot Toward the Sun
Sunday Punch
Beastie Boys
Oldboy

Dramas:
12 Signs of Love
Fugitive: Plan B
Moon River
The Return to Iljimae

What I like about Yoon Jin Seo is that in at least two of the dramas I’ve seen her in, she has portrayed characters that are frustratingly real. What I mean by that is when you actually experience one or more “cringe-worthy” moments that are totally relatable to real life! Yoon Jin Seo is diverse as an actress; however, she’s still a woman, and she is great at relaying her emotions in whatever role she takes on.

#10-B: Jung Ho Bin

_________-437

Born: 8 April 1969
Sign: Aries

What you may know him from:

Movies:
Friend, The Great Legacy
Commitment
Shadowless Sword
Marrying the Mafia 2

Dramas:
Into the Flames/Into the Fire
Inspiring Generation
Queen of Ambition
Poseidon
Iris
Boys Over Flowers

This 6 foot handsome actor is a man that has been in many K-Movies and K-Dramas, and is definitely recognizable. He generally plays a stoic character, but each role is quite integral to the story. For example, in Boys Over Flowers, you see him as a ‘yes man.’ Carrying out each task assigned to him, no matter what it may be. As the storyline progresses, his character grows. That growth makes the story much more real because he’s no longer a ‘nameless’ face or an emotionless henchman. He’s a living, breathing person that displays his true emotions through his actions.

I have really enjoyed him in every drama or movie I’ve seen up to this point. I think he is a tremendous actor, and I look forward to seeing more of him in future projects!
